Before you jump in

The Wine-Assembly launcher supplies the original SimCity 2000 demo. Load Demo City to inspect a working settlement, or try Start New City for a more hands-on introduction. Its layered city view includes terrain, utilities and transport. Demo restrictions apply; do not plan a long-running city around unverified save and load features.
