What is Radiant Optimizer? The browser games trend.
Radiant Optimizer is the name behind the viral X post about playing classic PC games in a browser. On October 8, 2026, @RadiantOpti shared games such as Black Ops Zombies, Skate 3 and Halo, then posted a reply with 25 game and project links. Looking for those links? Start with the full list below.
What went viral on X?
The appeal is familiar games opening in an ordinary browser tab. The Radiant Optimizer post brought together Call of Duty maps, skating projects, Halo, PES 6, Quake, Diablo and other community projects. The original reply contains the links; our companion list keeps all 25 references together and connects them to launch guides where we have one.
These projects have different creators and use different technology. Some port an existing engine with WebAssembly, some run games through emulation, and others recreate an engine in JavaScript. For example, PrinceJS is an HTML5 and JavaScript reimplementation. The browser supplies the runtime; a project may still need data from the original game.
Browser games themselves predate this post. Minecraft released its Classic browser edition in 2019. What this wave gives you is a new route to discover both established browser games and newer fan projects in one place.
How to play games from the Radiant Optimizer list
Choose a game, read its setup label, then open the linked project. Browser Games Now is the directory; the game runs on its creator’s website. A desktop keyboard and mouse are a useful starting point for older shooters. Check the mobile label before opening a game on your phone.
“Ready to launch” means you do not have to supply game files. It still downloads resources, so the first load can take time. “Bring your game files” means you need data from your own copy: the Vice City guide and Halo CE Mobile guide explain their respective requirements. A demo gives you a limited starting point rather than the complete game.
To keep a shortlist, tap the bookmark on a game card and open My shelf. Favorites stay in this browser after a refresh. They do not require an account or sync to another device.
What has changed since the original post?
The original post and link reply are dated October 8. In our October 11 review, these distinctions mattered when choosing a game:
- BO1 maps: the current Black Ops Zombies guide uses a map selector with Kino der Toten and Moon. The old Kino address has reports of unrelated redirects; use the current selector.
- Unreal Tournament label: the original ut.pieter.com link opens Urban Terror, a different game. Our directory uses the project’s actual name.
- Two Skate projects: the fan project linked in the post needs converted game data. The separate clean-room project has its own launch instructions.
- GTA V: the post points to an archived URL. Our GTA browser guide explains what that reference shows and links to the documented Vice City project. We have not confirmed a working GTA V game at the archived address.
The full list preserves the source names and URLs alongside these notes. If an entry changes, send us the game name and project link so we can review it.
Radiant Optimizer questions
Do I need to install Radiant Optimizer to play?
No. Radiant Optimizer is also the name of a Windows optimization product. The games in this trend run through separate browser projects; that software is not required to open them. Browser Games Now is an independent directory, unaffiliated with @RadiantOpti.
Are all 25 links different, complete games?
The reply contains 25 references, including individual maps, related projects, an archive link and a broader collection. Their scope varies. Use the setup notes to distinguish a demo, a fan project and a port that needs original game data.
Can I play with friends?
Some projects support multiplayer, with different room and connection options. Start with our multiplayer browser games and read the chosen project’s instructions before sharing a room.
